Beginning in 2008, world-renowned company Wacom Technology hired Funnelbox Production Studios to produce a short product trailer for their Bamboo Fun pen tablet. Due to the synergy between the two organizations, Wacom came back for another video... and another; nearly five years later, Funnelbox has produced well over one hundred videos for Wacom, and the partnership continues.
In the words of Erin O’Connell, Marketing Manager for Wacom, “[Funnelbox has] become an integral part of our marketing department”. Originally approached for their post-production capabilities, Funnelbox was soon called upon to produce much of the live action content for Wacom product demos and training videos. New techniques were learned to achieve Wacom’s creative goals, and the continued partnership has been beneficial for both sides.
“One of the reasons why we continue to come back to Funnelbox,” says O’Connell, “is the quality, the final output.” The bar for this quality reached new heights in 2010, when Funnelbox, partnering with subsidiary Clink Creative Motion, created the product release trailer for the Cintiq 21UX. This was followed in quick succession by two ‘refresh’ spots for Wacom’s Bamboo tablets, created from live action footage produced by Funnelbox combined with dynamic motion graphics from Clink.
Says Wacom’s O’Connell, “If I had to describe Funnelbox in three words, I would say 'Creative', 'Flexible' and 'Innovative'.”
